Assistant Professor of Economics (Tenure Track) - Department of Economics & Business

**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**

The Department of Economics and Business at the Colin Powell School of the City College of New York (CCNY-CUNY) is now inviting applications for a full-time tenure track position at the Assistant Professor rank in Economics, beginning in the Fall of 2025. We welcome candidates from any subfield of macroeconomics and international economics with strong skills in data analysis.

The successful candidate will be expected to pursue high-quality scholarship and teach courses in Macroeconomics, International Economics, International Trade, and courses based on data analysis and use of microdata. This includes introductory and/or core courses in economic theory at the undergraduate and graduate level, as well as supervising MA students. The candidate is expected to contribute to the overall academic environment of the economics and business department and the college.

About the Colin Powell School

The Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership is the division of social sciences at CCNY and is comprised of five academic departments: Anthropology, Gender Studies, and International Studies; Economics and Business; Political Science; Psychology; and Sociology. It is also home to all of the College's leadership development and public service programs, alongside a range of dynamic interdisciplinary programs including International Relations, Mental Health Counseling, Public Service Management, Women's Studies, and the Honors Program for Legal Studies. With almost 4,000 students, the Colin Powell School is CCNY's largest student division, and it offers a wide variety of traditional and interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate degrees. **QUALIFICATIONS**

A Ph.D. degree in Economics or related field is required at the time of appointment

Candidates should demonstrate a record of high-quality research and teaching.

**COMPENSATION**

Salary: $82,928 - $90,375
