About the Company: Our client is an established and rapidly growing heavy civil construction company specializing in the construction of bridges, structures, and highways. The company manages about $200 million in annual revenue, and has been a leader in heavy civil construction in Ohio and other parts of the Midwest for decades. About the Position: The estimator will prepare and submit estimates for assigned heavy civil construction projects. Types of projects may include bridges, box culverts, retaining walls, water/sewer systems, and water/wastewater treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will perform professional estimating duties as well as effectively manage multiple projects with minimal oversight. The person in this position will: Prepare, review, and solicit estimates for bidding site work. Perform quantity takeoff and pricing for bidding purposes. Prepare final project costs and construction budgets from cost estimates. Review contract documents and understand project parameters. Have a thorough understanding of construction means and methods. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline. A minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in Structures/Bridges. The drive to win projects and successfully complete them. Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
