Job Summary: The position of International Officer is charged with creating long-term value to IBC through customer and community interaction. This position is responsible for developing and retaining relationships, within bank policies and guidelines, with both international and domestic customers, and when appropriate introduces customers to IBC specialists who can assist with specific financial needs. Engages new and existing clients in the collection of information and documentation to complete due diligence. Through community involvement, the employee should establish a network of public and private sector leads to create opportunities for the bank and community.

Sales- Identifies and establishes relationships with prospective domestic and international customers.
- Strengthens existing customer relationships by assessing their needs and recommending products and/or services to meet those needs in order to grow the deposit and loan portfolios.
- Meets with customers to resolve any problems or complaints.
- Additional duties may include approving wire transfers, preparing and/or updating performance-related reports.
Business Development- Identifies new business opportunities utilizing existing portfolio of clients and by developing community partners.
Strategic Planning- Reviews and assists to update reports related to the international business plan.
Other- Guides new employees through initial orientation by providing relevant information on Bank programs, policies and procedures. Monitors employee progress.
- Ensures the Bank's compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to confidentiality, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Banking Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act.
Required - Two year college degree or comparable combination of education and work experience.
- Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) with all levels of co-workers and customers in a professional manner in English and Spanish.
