JOB TITLE Student Worker - Administration and Finance
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARYThis position supports the Administration & Finance Division and reports to the Executive Assistant for the VP of Administration & Finance and CFO. The student worker will assist with special projects, data analysis, and metrics-focused tasks to enhance the division's efficiency and effectiveness. The role will also contribute to implementing strategies and programming that align with the University's mission and support initiatives identified in the recent strategic visioning process.
JOB DESCRIPTIONRESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:- Assist with special projects for the Office of the CFO and Administration & Finance leadership.
- Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for various departmental initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in all tasks.
- Create, update, and maintain spreadsheets and other documents for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Perform research to gather information and metrics for decision-making.
- Collaborate with staff to develop, implement, and evaluate programming that aligns with divisional goals.
- Serve as a positive and enthusiastic Administration & Finance Division representative in all interactions.
- Gather and analyze data to create reports that support department efficiency and strategy execution.
- Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the division's mission and objectives.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - Familiarity with standard office machines, equipment, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong English composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
- Excellent typing and word processing capabilities.
- Proficiency in Excel with the ability to create, update, and manage spreadsheets effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail, documentation, and tracking abilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be in good academic standing.
- Must be currently enrolled or attending classes at Florida Polytechnic University.
- Must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.25 and have successfully completed 9 credits or more in the most recent fall or spring semester with a GPA of 2.0 or better.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF LAW:- This position requires a level II criminal background check.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: The work schedule for this position will be discussed with the hiring manager, depending on the student's class schedule.
EXPECTED STARTING SALARY: $15.65 hourly.This position requires a background check, which may include a level II screening as required by the Florida Statute §435.04.
