The OpportunityWe are seeking a Business Systems Information Application Analyst to join our Firm. Within this position, you will be responsible for configurating, supporting, and implementing Workday applications and reports including troubleshooting issues, managing system updates, and working closely with business users to ensure the related applications and reports meet their needs. This position will be based in our White Plains office and has a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Please note that the Firm will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.As the Business Systems Information Application Analyst you will:
- Handle project life cycle development and support of Workday Applications and Reporting including Workday Time Tracking as well as other applications, interfaces, and customizations and custom reports.
- Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams, including both technical and business stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
- Provide training and support to application users.
- Develop and maintain Workday Reports.
- Participate in validation of new Workday features and functions as part of the Workday release process.
- Provide project planning and technical input for development projects that impact the Firm's applications.
- Prepare technical specifications in support of business specifications.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for system modifications and enhancements.
- Develop and implement production implementation and/or upgrade plans and ongoing support for the Firm's applications.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure system integration.
- Maintain application documentation and related procedures.
- Stay current with the latest methods and technologies as they relate to Workday.
- Provide clear and timely feedback to department managers and project managers as required.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
- Manage Firm resources responsibly.
- Comply with and understand Firm operation, policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Workday, Workday configuration, Workday Time Tracking (and/or other modules), and Workday Reporting
- Experience and thorough knowledge working with the Firm's specific applications, including Workday and other systems
- Knowledge of job-related technology and development life cycle methodologies
- Demonstrate familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and Transact SQL
- Demonstrate familiarity in providing dataset to large language models, prompt engineering and related fine-tuning practices a plus. This includes implementing data preprocessing techniques to clean, normalize, and augment datasets for generative model training and/or machine learning workloads
- Ability to maintain and provide support for a developer virtual machine, including software installation and support
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrate close attention to detail
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
- Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment
- Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of five years' experience as an Application Analyst or similar role
