Position Summary

This position is responsible for the supervision and oversight of the Western Area Customer Service operations (CS). This position is responsible for managing customer service delivery, allocating resources and administering programs and policies supporting the Department'sefforts to provide exceptional service to the public, agency partners, stakeholders, and other staff. This position performs duties related to fiduciary responsibilities, financial quality assurance; operational planning and implementation; and evaluating program efficiency and effectiveness.

Salary Information

Starting pay for this position is between $40.00 to $44.00 per hour (or $83,200 to $91,520 annually), in addition to excellent benefits.

This position is not represented by a collective bargaining unit. Pay on appointment will follow the provisions of the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan.

This position is included in the classification Natural Resources Program Supervisor within pay schedule/range 81-03. A two-year trial period may be required.

Remote Work: Based on an assessment of the goals and work activities, this position may be eligible for remote work. Remote work approval is based on individual circumstances and is subject to supervisor approval and DNR remote work policies. Approval is subject to change without notice based on business needs. Employees with approved remote work arrangements are generally expected to work within the state of Wisconsin.

Travel: This position requires travel within the district, as well as occasional travel to Madison and other statewide locations occurs as needed.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include experience with the following:

* Analyzing and interpreting state and federal laws, regulations and/or administrative code

* Working as a formal supervisor (e.g., scheduling, training, assigning work, evaluating work of others and monitoring performance measures, leading/motivating/mentoring staff, etc.)

* Collaborating across organizations or groups from a wide variety of backgrounds to accomplish a goal (e.g., internal partners, regulated parties, counterpart state & federal agencies, tribal governments, legislators, trade associations, NGO's and advocacy groups, etc.)

* Implementing software within an organization (e.g., troubleshooting, change management, training users on software, creating job aids or SOP's for software users, etc.)

Preferred qualifications include any of the following criteria:

* Managing resources to meet changing program needs such as set-up and management of call center software, financial processing, or customer escalations, etc.

* Developing, implementing, or improving policies or procedures
