The Dispatcher will be responsible for scheduling and routing jobs, ensuring technicians are dispatched to appropriate locations based on customer requests and predetermined schedules. - Scheduling & Dispatching: Efficiently schedule and dispatch drivers, work crews, and vehicles to appropriate locations according to schedules, customer requests, or urgent needs.
- Routing: Organize jobs in a logical, efficient order for each technician to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Communication: Relay critical information such as work orders, messages, or updates to and from work crews, field inspectors, and supervisors.
- Client Updates: Call clients to provide updates on job status, ensuring clear communication and customer satisfaction.
- Parts Management: Prepare and organize necessary parts for technicians on a weekly basis to ensure readiness for job assignments.
- Data Entry & Recordkeeping: Enter job information and maintain logs in dispatch software, ensuring accurate records of calls, activities, and dispatch operations.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Proven work history that includes scheduling/dispatching for a construction or service field (experience in the medical field will not translate to this position).
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and relay information clearly.
- Proficiency in dispatch software or willingness to learn new software systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and data entry skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
