ABOUT THE POSITIONPosition SummarySenior Accountants should have robust interpersonal, communication, and project management skills. Senior Accountants should provide the Accounting Department with operational efficiencies as well as guide junior staff members in completing the workflow. Senior Accountants are expected to develop on both a personal and professional level during their tenure with the company.Management/reporting responsibilitiesThis position has no direct reports and reports to a manager.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist audit teams with financial statement audits of corporate, not for profit and municipal entities.Prepare personal, business, and informational tax returns.Process monthly, quarterly, and annual business accounting work.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.Prepare Audit work papers.Supervise staff.Provide assistance to Accounting Manager on project-based work.Worksite location & conditionsThis position is based in Rochester, NY, but does offer the flexibility to work remotely on an as-needed basis.This is a full-time position, forty (40) hours per week, with additional hours required during tax season.
