Description:
The Clinic Assistant will be sitting at the front desk of the Orthopedics clinic on the Physical Therapy side. They are responsible for the intake of new and returning patients and inputting patient information into the EMR. They will also be responsible for scheduling new andfollow up appointments, taking in insurance information and verifying coverage and then sending them back to their appointments.
The Clinc Assistant will walk patients back to the Physician or Physician Assistant to hand them off. They will then be grabbing whatever the physician says they need for them: Ice, Heat, tape, whatever to help out. Wiping down tables or equipment afterwards and putting it away. The office gets linens brought inn (for the tables and equipment) from a cleaning company, so the Clinic Assistant will be folding those and putting them away, ready to be used. This will be done in the down time when the front is not busy, so the person who takes this role on will need to be a self-starter who likes to keep busy.
Shift is M-F, no weekends, 9-5 will likely be eating lunch at the front desk so the lunch break will be paid

6 months- 1 year of healthcare, sports or exercise related experience is great
EMR experience is preferred
bilingual Spanish would be a great add but not necessary
Bachelor's degree will cover some experience
Need to have some sort of administrative experience where you have done some self-managing.
