JOB TITLE: Field Support

JOB LOCATION: Logan, UT

REPORTING TO: Location Manager

FUNCTION: The Field Support provides sales support to the sales representative by performing customer support both in the office and in the field. This position supports the sales representatives while learning to manage projects.

KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Visualizes, fulfills, and implements the companys vision and core values.
  • Provides back-office support to Sales Representatives by processing customer orders, tracking and reporting key data, and maintaining account records, etc.
  • Under the direction of the sales representative visits customer sites to walk jobs and ensure plan accuracy and deliver product as needed and requested.
  • Under the direction of the sales representative meets with customers on-site to review selections of product options.
  • Supports project bids by conducting research, collecting data, estimating, and interfacing with key internal partners.
  • Submits jobs for credit approval.
  • Requests estimates from the estimating department.
  • Orders special order items through Bistrack or vendor directly and follows through with appropriate office to avoid delays.
  • Enter order details in Bistrack and confirm that price, discount level and product requirements are correct.
  • Ensures pricing on P.O. is correct.
  • Contacts external customers and prospects to arrange appointments, answer questions, or to update them regarding the status of an order or a delivery.
  • Communicates customer needs/concerns to Sales Rep, informing him/her of any problems or issues that may affect customer relations.
  • Tracks and communicates stock availability and production schedules to Sales Rep and relevant internal partners.
  • Accurately maintains customer records, ensuring that customer, prospect, and account information is correct.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate sales, activity, and expense reports.
  • Monitors customer job progress.
  • Performs credit collection on past due accounts for assigned customers as requested.
  • Assists field labor personnel.
  • Adheres to all safety protocols and Company policies and procedures.
  • Performs any other duties, responsibilities or tasks as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills.
  • Ability to review and analyse detailed information.
  • Robust information and task management skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of Sunpros products, processes, and relevant production capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • College education is an advantage.
  • At least one year of experience in sales, construction, or related field

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Physical Work Requirements - Medium: exerting up to 15 lbs of force regularly.
  • Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment.
