Workdays & Hours: Mon. - Fri, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM*

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

In this position you will work as part of a customer service team providing support to internal and external customers. Responsibilities will include:

* Maintain and monitor various records and reports for daily activities that was reported for maintenance per day.

* Conduct research on special management activities and requests for managers

* Review, analyze, organize field crew activity documents to be processed

* Utilize INFOR to research, create, update, and close work orders and/or service requests

* Assist crew with training and online support

* May refer customers who require additional assistance to the appropriate agencies.

* Upload photos to work orders for processing

* Scanning and saving documents

* May create work orders and project numbers. May contact other companies to release services on completed projects.

* Perform other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS

The position is physically comfortable; the individual has some discretion about walking, standing, etc.

This is a Houston Public Works Emergency Management position at the Tier III Level.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires a high school diploma or a GED.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Six months of administrative or customer service related experience is required.

Substitution: An Associate's degree may be substituted for the experience requirement.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

NoneProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in working with asset management and work order system software/programs.

Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.SELECTION/SKILLS TESTS REQUIRED: None

However, the department may administer a skills assessment evaluation.

SALARY INFORMATION

Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate's qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification.
