Location Description Post Consumer Brands corporate headquarters in Lakeville, Minn. is about 20 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Lakeville has all the benefits of smaller town living with access to everything a large metropolitan area has to offer. Responsibilities As the Director of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), you will be responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and governance of all strategic projects within our organization. You will oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of project management processes, methodologies, and tools to ensure successful project delivery aligned with organizational goals and objectives. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, project management expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments and stakeholders. You will lead and develop our EPMO team while fostering a people first and results-oriented culture. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and communicate the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of the EPMO in alignment with the organization's overall goals.
    • Develop and execute a roadmap for the EPMO, considering both M&A goals and regular business operations.
    • Provide strategic direction and guidance to project managers and project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.
    • Champion the value of project management best practices and methodologies across the organization.
  • Project Portfolio Management:
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of the project portfolio, including prioritization, resource allocation, and alignment with business objectives.
    • Install and lead project intake, prioritization, and backlog management processes ensuring enterprise-wide alignment.
    • Ensure the consistent application of project management standards, processes, and methodologies across all projects.
    • Monitor and report on the performance of the project portfolio, identifying risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Governance and Compliance:
    • Establish and maintain project governance frameworks to ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
    • Implement project management governance structures, including steering committees, review boards, and change control, and escalation procedures.
    • Conduct regular project reviews and audits to assess compliance and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, functional department leaders, and project sponsors.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with business needs and priorities.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for escalations and resolution of project-related issues and conflicts.
  • Team Development:
    • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of project managers and project management professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
    • Provide guidance and support for professional development, training, and certification opportunities for project management staff.
    • Foster a diverse and inclusive work environment that promotes creativity, innovation, and excellence while driving for results.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing complex projects and programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing enterprise project management methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Strong understanding of project portfolio management principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing project management teams.
  • Experience leading or supporting in a growth by acquisition-based company with direct M&A experience preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in CPG/food preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to train EPMO team on methodologies, best practices and tools and continuously improve based on learnings.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to thrive in fast faced environments, leveraging interpersonal and technical skills to optimize results.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, or other Project Management tools.
