Typical Requirements High School Diploma / GEDValid driver's license and good driving recordMust possess, or obtain within eighteen (18) months of hire, a valid Florida Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).Must possess, or obtain within eighteen (18) months of hire, a Class C Wastewater Collection CertificateKnowledge, Abilities, and Skills:Knowledge of and skill in the use of materials, methods, practices, and equipment used in pipe fitting.Knowledge of the construction and repair of utility facilities.Knowledge of water and sewer systems.Ability to work from sketches, maps, and blueprints.Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.Good physical ability.Strength to do heavy lifting and carrying.Ability to work under adverse weather conditions.Ability to operate various types of power tools and equipment used to install, maintain, or repair utility mains and services.Ability to work on-call.
