Business Development Director, Excipients -REMOTE

The Business Development Director will lead the commercialization of innovative excipients. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities, develop and implement business models, and establish strong customer relationships. You will be responsible for driving growth and expanding market share within the pharmaceutical industry. This includes working closely with cross-functional and cross-regional teams to identify market trends, understand customer needs, and forge strategic partnerships to meet business objectives. Your efforts will ensure the development of cutting-edge solutions and successful market integration.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive global commercial strategy for Novel Excipients, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement pricing strategies considering market dynamics, profitability targets, and value propositions.
- Commercial Deals: Structure and negotiate commercial deals to maximize value from novel innovations.
- Commercialization Efforts: Lead ongoing commercialization efforts by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including R&D, sales, marketing, regulatory, quality, and supply chain.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape, shaping business strategies and identifying new opportunities.
- Product Development Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to drive product development, ensuring alignment with market demands and regulatory requirements.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, engaging in strategic discussions to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant scientific or business field.
- Contract Development and Negotiation: Proven expertise in contract development and negotiation.
- Product Development and Pricing: Experience in product development, pricing strategies, and business development.
- Strategic Acumen: Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective commercial strategies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing and inspiring cross-functional teams.
- Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and partners.
- Global Mobility: Willingness to travel globally as required.
