Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Summary: As a Mechanical Assembler, you will assemble and fabricate equipment that satisfies customer specifications regarding process performance, safety, quality and applicable standards such as CE from mechanical schematics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Aligns, fits, and assembles component parts into completed units, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates
- Assembles, tests, and repairs precision assemblies, and equipment
- Positions parts and sub-assemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- Experience with assembly of precision automated machinery
- Must be comfortable with drilling, tapping, cutting and grinding. Experience with mill, lathe and welding equipment is a bonus
- Interpret mechanical schematics, productions sheets, and verbal instruction to build up and assemble industrial machines and components
- Perform or initiate cleaning, line clearance or maintenance of equipment on the manufacturing line
- Work with direction from the Mechanical Supervisor and follow written and verbal instructions
- Assemble pneumatic systems and other mechanical subsystems
- Test mechanical subsystems for correct functionality
- Some occasional travel may be required
Qualifications: - High School Diploma required
- 2 - 4 years production experience in mechanical assembly required
- Must have ability to utilize hand tools such as drills, grinders, etc
- Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to apply basic mathematics to include adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
- Must have the ability read and work from established drawings

- Employee is regularly required to use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time. Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed
Safety: Tasks related to environmental management, occupational health and safety management, and energy management:
- Handling chemicals according to the safety data sheets available at the workplace
- Selective collection of hazardous and non-hazardous waste at work
- Compliance with occupational health and safety management standards; and if necessary, make colleagues and subcontractors to comply with OHSA standards
- Report non-compliance connected with environmental protection, occupational health and safety to your direct supervisor
- Contribute to the improvement of the efficiency of the environmental management and occupational health and safety management
