Insight Global is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the team of a large utility company located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This candidate will design and model equipment for use in electrical transmission systems and/or power generation. They will perform power flow, short circuit, and facility studies in the SPP area and will write reports to explain study results. They will develop holistic solutions to interconnect customers, correct criteria violations, and address rehab needs. They should expect to present projects to internal engineering groups, support them throughout project development, and recommend actions accordingly. They will receive guidance from higher-level engineers but should have entry-level knowledge and experience in the application of theory to solve well-defined problems or provide analysis. - Understands the use of scheduling techniques (CPM, PERT, flow charts, etc.) for budget and planning activities- Experience with either PSS/E Power Flow or APEN software - Professional Engineers (PE) license- 2+ Years of Related Engineering Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Program Accredited by ABET)o OR Master's or Doctorate Degree in Engineering o OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (non-ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) licenseo OR Bachelor's Degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's Degree in Engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelors program- Good communication skills (both verbally and written)- Fundamental understanding of standards, codes, and regulations- Eager to learn and assume future leadership roles- Team player and ability to work with others
