Production Specialist - PE Plant / Richmond HillSUMMARY:The Production Specialist is responsible for Stator / PE System / Inverter and mass production. The incumbent also develops, coordinates, and participates in productivity and quality improvement. This role will work for MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC. (MNAe).ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)To utilize Lean and Six Sigma techniques to identify and eliminate process wastes throughout the systemBased on understanding the product and equipment, maximizing production efficiency and producing high-quality products is necessary.Support issue resolution through root cause analysis, implementing permanent countermeasures, and an environment of continuous learning and improvementUses appropriate problem-solving tools to provide rapid improvement with sustainable resultsAssist process engineering with part processing and troubleshooting for ongoing scrap reduction, cycle time reduction, and downtime reduction.Ensures adherence to standard processes for data collection, documentation, and reportingCoordinate the efficient use of raw materials and ingredients in making products.Manage daily operations through KPI, problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement to achieve the KPI targets.Support and manage continuous improvement activities in safety, environmental, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity objectivesPartner and Coordinate with Engineering, Materials, Maintenance, and other internal departments to resolve issues and concerns.Coach and mentor the supervisors on standard work, problem-solving, and continuous improvement and effectively manage their performanceEnsure production teams utilize standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:(The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)Preferred Education & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent manufacturing experience2+ year experience in a high-volume manufacturing settingStator, Motor, and Inverter manufacturing background preferredFluent with CAD programs (ex. AutoCAD)Experience developing and managing Capital BudgetRequired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:A strong sense of urgency and commitment to productionStrong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and a positive attitudeYour passion and responsibilityFluent with standard MS Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)Preferred Education & Experience:Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical assembly drawings and accurately measure and inspect tolerancesExperience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean Manufacturing techniquesResults-oriented written and verbal communication skillsTime management skillsAbility to manage to change priorities and employ sound business judgmentAbility to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs)Proven interpersonal and team-building skillsBilingual English and Korean preferredCertificates, Licenses, and Registrations: NoneWorking Conditions:Incumbent works 8 to 10-hour shifts with occasional weekend assignmentsThe employee may need to move around the production floor frequently Overtime may be required as needed
