Emp Status Regular Full time Work Shift Compensation Range The base pay scale for this position is $121,500.00 - $185,250.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. What you will be doing Patient Care Director Full-Time POSITION SUMMARY The Patient Care Director of Infusion Therapy at the Main Campus is part of Inpatient Services. The PCD is a nurse leader who is accountable for the overall infusion therapy operations, clinical teams and ensures plans and delivery of high quality and safe care. This role contributes to and supports promoting clinical excellence. The PCD of Infusion Therapy ensures that high quality care is provided within regulatory and accrediting body standards, and that overall clinical performance meets or exceeds national best practice benchmarks. The PCD ensures clinical operations function at top levels of safety and efficiency, while exceeding patient expectations. The PCD is responsible for engagement including integration of DE&I, team engagement and metrics around recognition, recruitment, and retention. The PCD is accountable for viable financial performance of the areas for which the job has accountability. The Patient Care Director understands the Magnet program and culture; supports the integration of Magnet standards into the nursing department infrastructure. The PCD supports the shared governance model; maintains active engagement, facilitates staff involvement in shared governance. The PCD will lead a team of nurses who are committed to serving patients with exceptional care and promote the mission, vision, and core values of Hospital for Special Surgery. This is a leader of approximately 20 individual contributors consisting of RNs and ancillary support. The PCD of Infusion Therapy reports directly to the VP of Inpatient Services. The PCD will partner and collaborate with nurse leaders, physicians, and several key stakeholders throughout Hospital for Special Surgery Enterprise to ensure the best patient care every patient, every time.
  • Reports to VP of Inpatient Services
  • Unit oversight includes all infusion therapy including but not limited to rheumatology, neurology, adults and pediatrics.
Essential Requirements:
  • BSN required
  • Masters in Nursing required
  • Minimum of 3 years nursing experience with progressive leadership responsibilities
  • Current NY State registration, license required
  • Board certificated in an area of expertise required
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS required
  • Experience with Epic to support operational and clinical activities strongly preferred
  • Strong patient centered approach with a strong emphasis on providing exemplary, world-class customer service
  • Self-motivated and proactive; a team player who knows how to think critically in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
