**Job Title:** Physician**Job Specialty:** Obstetrics and Gynecology**Job Duration:** 31 days**Shift:** 8 Hours**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified**Experience:** Not specified**License:** Must have an active MI license**Certifications:** Board Certification or Board Eligible status required**Must-Have:**- Active MI License- Ability to respond to ED and L&D within 10 minutes- Completion of Conscious Sedation module if privileges are requested**Job Description:**- Provide obstetric and gynecologic care, including low and high-risk pregnancies- Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections and VBACs- Manage multiple births and breech presentations- Conduct gynecological surgeries, both open and laparoscopic- Work onsite for 8 hours with an additional 24 hours on call- Respond to emergencies and changes in labor conditions within 30 minutes- Collaborate with FM residents and 3rd/4th-year medical students, requiring teaching supervision- Must be seen by attending within 12 hours after L&D admission- Average patient encounters: 4.3 patients per shift- Engage in the interpretation of fetal heart rate monitoring and ultrasound performance- Perform office/minor gynecology procedures such as IUD insertions and cryosurgery- Participate in resident teaching and supervision**Facility Information:**- Approximately 370-380 deliveries per year- Resident teaching and supervision requirement- Facility is primary stroke certified, but not a comprehensive stroke center- Level 2 trauma facility with Level 3 Pediatric support- Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 60 daysCandidates are encouraged but not required to have certifications such as ABLC, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS. Additional skills such as laser certification are also preferred.
