Position Type: Part-Time

Overview: Long Island University is seeking a dedicated and passionate Second Assistant Part-Time Women's Soccer Coach to support the women's soccer program. This role involves assisting the head coach and first assistant coach in all aspects of coaching and team management, while fostering an environment of skill development, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in planning and conducting daily practice sessions, focusing on player development and team strategy.

* Support the head coach in game preparation, including scouting and analyzing opponents.

* Help manage team logistics, including travel arrangements, equipment needs, and scheduling.

* Foster positive relationships with players, providing mentorship and guidance on and off the field.

* Aid in recruiting efforts by evaluating potential student-athletes and participating in outreach activities.

* Assist with administrative duties, including maintaining player records and ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations.

* Promote a culture of sportsmanship, respect, and inclusivity within the team and the broader university community.

* Attend all team meetings, games, and events as required.

Qualifications:

* Previous coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or club level is preferred.

* Strong knowledge of women's soccer fundamentals and strategies.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work effectively as part of a coaching team.

* Commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.

* Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations is a plus.

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in sports management, physical education, or a related field is preferred but not required.

* Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
