Job Description :
Position Status: This is a part-time, 1099 Contractor position. As a 1099 contractor, you will be responsible for managing your own benefits and applicable taxes, with the scope of work and compensation defined by the contract agreement.Position Details: Women's Rugby Athletic Performance Coach The Women's Rugby Athletic Performance Coach is responsible for developing and implementing strength & conditioning programs that cater to the needs of female rugby players. The Coach will work closely with the student athletes, to ensure the athletes' physical fitness and performance is at its optimal level. The coach will design and implement training sessions in line with the rugby team's goals, performance objectives, and injury prevention protocols.Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an effective S&C program for the individual SAs on the women's rugby team.
  • Incorporate strength, speed, agility, flexibility, and endurance training sessions into the team's overall training program
  • Ensure that exercises and training regimens that are focused on injury prevention are incorporated into the program
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Rugby Coach to schedule, plan, and execute comprehensive fitness testing and assessment of all rugby players
  • Utilize modern and innovative training techniques and tools to achieve peak performance, injury prevention, and rehabilitation
  • Monitor and track the progress and performance of individual rugby athletes
  • Work collaboratively with the Athletic Training staff to develop and implement appropriate recovery protocols for athletes
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the athletes, coaches, and Athletic Department staff
  • Maintain and manage equipment necessary for training sessions
  • Attend all appropriate competitions and practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in physical education, kinesiology, exercise science or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Strength & Conditioning Coach position for a sports team
  • Current certification in Strength & Conditioning (CSCS, NSCA, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of current S&C trends and training tools.
