About the Division Propak Supply Chain Services, a member of the PLA Family of Companies, is a leading provider of comprehensive supply chain services, revolutionizing the way businesses manage their supply chains. With our expertise and state-of-the-art facilities, we ensure efficient and seamless operations from start to finish. Role overview & responsibilities Reporting to the Supervisor, the Pallet Sorter is responsible for removing debris from and manually sorting pallets by type and condition to meet requirements of Propak standards and production goals. Type criteria may include color or manufacturer. Conditions may include criteria such as amount or extent of damaged or missing boards, raised or exposed nails, or blocks missing.
- Safely remove lodged or adjacent debris from incoming pallets.
- Sort pallets by hand in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Inspect pallets while sorting to ensure criteria are met.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area throughout the shift.
- Maintain established rate per hour to ensure productivity, efficiency, and safety.
- Maintain safe working conditions by following guidelines and procedures for handling all related equipment and material.
- Comply with all Propak policies and procedures, as well as federal and state safety rules.
- Assist with other duties as assigned to support and improve overall team operations.
- Adjust as needed to new reporting relationships, work assignments, or work schedules to meet company needs and business requirements.
- Attendance at work is an essential function of this job.
- Cooperate and work well with team members and management.
