QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School diploma or GED certificate or have sufficient ability to follow written instructions, schedules, interpret recipes and do the arithmetic necessary to adjust quantities
* Willingness to participate in Food and Nutrition Service training
* Ability and initiative to plan, organize and carry out assignments with minimum of supervision
* Ability to work harmoniously with staff and students
* Physical stamina and emotional stability to work effectively
* Excellent physical and mental health
* Neat, well groomed appearance

JOB GOAL:
Working under the direction for the Food and Nutrition Service Manager and/or assistant manager, stores, prepares and serves food and cleans equipment and food service areas
TERM:
Nine and one quarter (9.25) months

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prepares meats, vegetables, salads, dressings, breads, and/or desserts as directed
* Serves on serving line(s)
* Assists in storing groceries, meats, and supplies
* Cleans cooking equipment and kitchen, serving and dining areas as directed
* Assists with maintaining proper sanitation
* Attends workshops as scheduled
* Performs related duties as required
