Full job description We are searching for a detail-oriented and personable insurance office assistant. Your main responsibility will be supporting our agents by helping walk-in customers, taking phone calls, checking emails, calling late payments, collecting information, answering questions and directing customer inquiries to the appropriate person. Job seekers should be organized professionals who bring positive, problem-solving energy to the office. Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails to help customers solve problems quickly and direct their inquiries to the right person
- Perform administrative duties, such as organizing paperwork, filing and distributing office mail, to ensure our office runs efficiently
- Call customers with late payments and process billing information
- Collect complete and accurate information from customers calling to get insurance quotes
- Adapt to the team needs and assist with other projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Must have high school diploma or GED, some college experience preferred
- Possesses basic computer skills such as word-processing and the ability to use Microsoft Word & Excel
- Willing to obtain insurance license (training and exam fees paid by agency)
- Proven track record of strong organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Prior experience in customer service or insurance industry preferred
