You will spend much of your time researching current political and financial events, as well as abstract concepts and ideas, to ensure our marketing does not mislead readers. You must be comfortable making decisions in gray areas, often independently. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will collaborate with copywriters and marketing professionals.Key Responsibilities:
- Review and edit marketing copy for legal compliance with financial and advertising laws.
- Research political, financial, and legal developments to ensure marketing accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with copywriters and marketing professionals to ensure clarity and compliance in messaging.
- Make independent decisions on nuanced and complex legal and ethical issues.
- Become proficient in key areas of publishing law, including copyright, trademark, free speech, defamation, and securities and commodities laws.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to research and understand complex legal and financial topics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Interest or background in finance is a plus, but not required.
- Liberal arts majors are encouraged to apply.
