Job Title: Remote Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
We are looking for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to remotely join our team! This individual will primarily be responsible for reviewing prior authorizations and sending them to pharmacy services for determination. Technicians will also respond to client inquiries, refer requests for specialty drugs, contact providers for additional information, and notify stakeholders of decision outcomes. Obtain verbal authorizations and request detailed clinical information from prescribers. Notify physicians, providers, and members of coverage determination request decisions.
Responsibilities
+ Approve or deny prior authorizations and send to pharmacists for final review.
+ Handle all the health plans and medications.
+ Could be handling some inbound calls - little phone work!
+ Tracking coverage determination requests
+ Obtaining verbal authorizations, approving requests based on criteria
+ Entering decisions into the PBM system, and notifying providers and members.
+ Notify physicians, providers, and members of coverage determination request decisions.
Requirements
+ Registered pharmacy technician license.
+ Nationally certified technician
+ Must have HS Diploma/GED
+ Strong computer skills
Work Environment
+ This is a fully remote position.
+ The shift could fall between Monday-Friday 7am-7pm in your time zone, with rotating weekends and occasional holidays.
+ Overtime is not required but occasionally offered
