DescriptionCoordinates the receipt, delivery and inventory of materials, supplies and equipment for Physical Plant departments.
Responds to departments concerning delivery dates, disposition of material and questions concerning the university's recycling program. Coordinates shipping arrangements with vendors, receives orders, resolves discrepancies with purchase requisitions, and arranges delivery to requesting department. Oversees workers engaged in delivering orders and collecting recyclable materials. Assist with conducting periodic and annual inventories; ensures accuracy of inventory categories. Assists the manager in the operation of the computerized fuel management system. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. EEO/AA
QualificationsHigh school and 3 years experience Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience. Requires a valid Texas Driver's License.Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer literate with proficiency in Excel, Word
- Familiarity with data entry
- Attention to detail very important
- Requires ability to lift and move 25 pound boxes
- Maintain & organize the warehouse
- Operate pallet jacket to load, unload, place and reallocate merchandise
