Job Title: LifeguardReports to: Natatorium ManagerDept/School: NatatoriumWork Year: Varies by the seasonBase Salary: $15.00/per hourPRIMARY PURPOSE:Provide a safe and orderly environment at the Natatorium.QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Certification:Minimum age 16American Red Cross Lifeguard training certificationSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to follow procedures and guidelinesKnowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and procedures related to possible infectious or hazardous materialsMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Responsible for the safety of all patrons.Check daily attendance, handle entry fees, register participants into various programs, and assist customers.Attend all in-service lifeguard trainings.Adhere to all Frisco ISD policies and procedures.Enforce all pool policies in a consistent, professional manner.Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility.Prepare pool set-up requirements as directed by the aquatics management team such as the following but not limited to moving lane lines, bulkheads, and setting up Colorado Timing equipment for meets.Follow a rotation of stations as directed by the head guard and/or aquatics management team.Complete facility safety checks and reports.Maintain equipment inventory.Participate in all events, in any capacity, at the Natatorium.Perform other duties as assigned.OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:Frisco ISD retains the right to adjust the responsibilities and assignments of all positions as needed to meet the needs of the District.WORK RELATIONSHIPS:Frisco ISD is committed to fostering a collaborative work environment that honors and supports the social and emotional well-being of all. Exposure to high humidity and potential chemical hazards in pool water. Moderate lifting; crouch/kneeling; sitting/standing.
