Position Overview: Our Rehab Aides play a crucial in supporting our rehab nurses and therapists in providing top-quality rehabilitation treatment and patient care, adhering to facility, state, and federal regulations and guidelines. They work closely with our therapists and Director of Rehab to ensure a safe and enjoyable working environment while assisting in equipment setup and various other tasks.

Position Type: Full-time or Part Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist therapists and Director of Rehab with equipment setup and cleaning.
  • Ensure a safe and enjoyable working environment.
  • Transport patients as needed.
  • Assist with patient activities.
  • Perform clerical duties to support therapy programs.
  • Work under direct supervision.
  • Utilize unscheduled time effectively to benefit the department, therapists, or patients.
  • Maintain a schedule to complete all assignments and treatments.
  • Engage with patients respectfully and appropriately.
  • Prepare patients for treatment by setting up equipment as directed by therapists.
  • Work with patients under therapist supervision.
  • Accurately and safely follow therapist directions.
  • Complete clerical tasks, such as filing, copying, and computer work, in a timely manner.
  • Conduct equipment inventory, updates, and deep cleanings and notify the supervisor of equipment and supply needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare experience
  • Associate degree or currently enrolled in a PT, PTA, OT, COTA, or SLP program, seeking healthcare experience while in school.
