Job Description :

Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Marshville, North Carolina to find an experienced and eager Lug Loader to join their growing team! A lug loader's main responsibility is to operate the lug loader machine daily by placing one board on each lug before it goes into the trimmer machine. Candidate must also observe cameras for skewed boards and ensure waste material goes into the chipper bin properly. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Monitor infeed to ensure the lumber does not jam.
  • Assure lumber stacks are straight.
  • Alert maintenance should a mechanical issue arise.
  • Maintain a constant flow of pallet lumber stacks.
  • Monitor and maintain a clean work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent attendance
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
  • Results driven and comfortable dealing with numbers
  • Multitasking also while being quick on your feet.
  • Follow established EWPI safety rules and regulations
  • Refer questionable matters to work leader or supervisor
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area
Pay rate for this position is $14.00 an hour with a chance to become permanent with the company. This position is predominantly 1st shift with the hours of 6:00am - 6pm.
