Abington Manor is currently looking for a Full Time Activities Aide! Every Other Weekend Required. Some Holidays Included. We are seeking candidates who have a passion for working with seniors. Applicants should be creative, outgoing, and motivational to our residents in activities and events.

Requirements of the Activities Aide:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be available every other weekend
  • Must be able to relate professionally and positively to our residents and families and to work cooperatively with others
  • You should be observant, driven, creative, and caring
  • A wholehearted individual whose interests lie with our residents, and meeting the recreation program and service needs.
  • Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

Responsibilities of the Activities Aide:

  • Assisting the Activity Director in the development, organization, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive therapeutic recreation services and programs that meet the needs and interests of each resident.
  • Complete required documentation, assist with planning and leadership of special events, and maintain activity department supplies and equipment.
  • Stage entertaining, engaging activities that will appeal to the age and physical or emotional condition of the resident.
