Supervision of Construction Crews:
- Conduct daily site inspections and ensure work complies with plans and codes.
- Communicate project expectations and deadlines to crews.
- Monitor safety regulations and equipment.
- Hire or fire subcontractors or temporary workers as necessary.
Training and Development:
- Ensure all team members are properly trained and certified for specific tasks.
- Document safety training and ensure OSHA compliance.
Client and Stakeholder Meetings:
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress.
- Liaise with clients to address concerns or updates on construction timelines.
- Ensure client satisfaction by managing expectations and project outcomes.
Vendor/Contractor Management:
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
- Handle scheduling, progress updates, and address any delays.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and quality checks.
Finance:
- Provide construction cost updates for budgeting purposes.
- Responsible for sending and ensuring we receive any/all lien waivers from subcontractors.
- Assist with cost forecasts and financial reporting for projects.
Team Leadership:
- Manage the construction team, assigning roles, and addressing performance issues.
Budget Tracking:
- Manage project budgets, including expenses, cost overruns, and payments to contractors.
- Track costs for labor, equipment, and materials.
Permits and Inspections:
- Ensure all necessary permits are obtained and up to date.
- Coordinate city/state inspections and address compliance issues.
