Job DescriptionSunshine Enterprise USA is currently seeking an Inmate Supervisor. The position specifically involves supervising and coordinating inmate work crews engaged in repairing and maintaining roadways, parks, and open spaces for different departments. This position requires the applicant to have the training, skills, and ability to supervise work-release inmates.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 am-5:30 pm. (10-hour shift)
ResponsibilitiesDuties may include, but are not limited to the following:•Monitoring crews to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to and participating in the work supervised.•Modifying work methods, crew sizes, and related factors to ensure that work is completed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.•Enforces safety regulations, coordinates equipment maintenance and repair activities.•Assists in maintenance, repair, and construction activities as required.•Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:Successful candidates shall have at least three years of experience as a State certified Correctional Officer.
- Must be certified as a Correctional Officer in Florida with an active certification in good standing.
- Ability to obtain an Advanced Level Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification after hire.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors; and communicate in an effective and professional manner, both orally and in writing, with co-workers, managers, subordinates and the public sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and the background check
- Ability to communicate via cellular phone while supervising work release inmates.
