Salary: Per GTA Contract Bargaining Unit (click here for contracts): GTA Report Times: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm Daily Hours: 7 Work Year: 2024-2025 Supervisor: Abigale Terrana Minimum Requirements: Current GCSD Employee Meeting of exceeding standards as defined by District Professional Performance review Licensed social worker Must be certified school social worker Minimum of 2 years experience of working as a school social worker Willingness to work morning or evenings, as needed Summer hours, as needed Expert knowledge of local area agencies and programsDesired Qualifications: Preferred trainer in TCIS Licensed Clinical Social Worker Preferred Position Summary/Responsibilities: -Provide consultation to buildings across the district to support students and multi-disciplinary teams; -Problem-solve for students as requested by buildings; -Provide support to mental health teams regarding refining their MTSS systems (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 interventions for SEL, behavior, attendance); -Provide School Social Work perspective on relevant District Level committees; -Co-Facilitate District Mental Health Team Department Meetings, as needed; -Facilitate District School Social Work Department Meetings; -Offer various professional development based on building and district needs; -Plan and facilitate District Superintendent's Conference Day and other release days for Social Work Department; -Support district initiatives as it relates to behavior, mental health and Social emotional needs of students; -Support gathering and analyzing district data for trend; -Onboard and coach new hires across the district as needed with supervisor approval, including co-facilitating New Teacher Induction/ Teacher's First Program sessions for mental health staff; -Facilitate monthly social work group supervision to discuss challenging cases, ethical dilemmas, best practices, personal reflection and self care; -Create and share weekly updates with the School Social Work Department; -Support school safety by supporting the navigation of lethality assessment, Erin's Law and threat assessment procedures; -Support the development of a social work curriculum committee to formalize a district wide social work curriculum; -Collaborate with other departments as necessary to align professional development and interventions (e.g., Pupil Personnel Services); -May be required to cover at various buildings across the district as needed with supervisor approvalQuestions regarding this posting should be directed to: Name: Abigale Terrana Title: Director of Student Services and School Improvement Email: ...@greececsd.org All new employees must be fingerprinted and cleared for employment through the NYSED before employment begins.
