Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Material Handler will ship finished product in good condition according to standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Banding and strapping product to skids making sure it secure.
- Loading and unloading materials onto and off trucks
- Operating industrial trucks, sit down forklift, stand up forklift, and cranes.
- Some carpentry required, with building skids/ crates.
- Banding I beam and columns in bundles and loading them on flatbed trailers.
- Some computer skills are required when staging products for shipping and loading. ( Wynsoft)
- Some outside work with unloading pallet trucks and organizing pallet area.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Employees are responsible for complying with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
- Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Licensed forklift truck operator
- Experience with inventory/ Shipping a plus
- Good computer skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and write English and use basic math
- Good organization skills
- Good time management skills
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Team orientation
