Role Objective: The Quality Manager will be a member of the Management Team. They shall ensure a high level of customer service, investigate, and correct customer issues and complaints relating to quality. They will be responsible to plan, coordinate and manage our quality and process control programs to ensure the continuous and consistent production of quality parts to meet our customers' specifications. They will coordinate quality inspection of parts, components made to our customers' specifications and prioritize to ensure deliveries are met. They will review and make the final decision on dispositions to in-process non-conforming products. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review customer required quality clauses, POs for quality & other requirements, & customer Control Plan requirements
- Verify that inspection plan and the manufacturing process plan (MPP) are in accordance with each other
- Review master change document (MCD) for any previous issues and ensure implementation of any required changes
- Review CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programs and sample inspection reports by OP
- Create, review and modify quality procedures as required
- BMS/Quality Manual maintenance to ensure AS9100 compliance
- Provide root cause and corrective action information/documentation for discrepant products (NC's & SCAR's)
- Work with the HR to aid in hiring employees when openings/needs arise
- Complete employee performance evaluations (probationary & annually)
- Update management team on current loads, quality issues, manufacturing issues, customer satisfaction (OTD & Quality ratings)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (Preferred)
- 3+ years in Aerospace/Defense manufacturing
- 3-5 years Quality related Managerment experience in a CNC machining environment
