Supervision of student activities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise luncheon areas, playgrounds, restrooms and hallways, other areas assigned by the Principal with particular attention being given to the health, safety and conduct of the children involved. Be acquainted with the District policies and individual school procedures pertaining to the position of Campus Supervisor. Report accidents, rule violations, significant environmental problems and hazardous conditions. Dress appropriately. School activities including before and after school. Supervise activities of students in areas other than the yard as may be assigned by the Principal. Attend orientation meetings and confer with the Principal and staff for clarification of policies and practices. Supervise passing of children to and from classrooms. On rainy days, supervise lunch and in-building activities, monitor halls and other areas as required and assigned by the Principal. Use a firm but courteous attitude toward children while maintaining consistent routine and enforcing school rules. Exercise own authority in minor discipline problems, refraining from the use of corporal punishment, and refer more serious problems, to the designated disciplining authority. Assist in locating truant pupils, supervise detention and any other attendance duties as may be needed. Expected to attend student dances. Other related duties as assigned. DESIREABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Experience as a leader of youth groups.
