Job DescriptionWe seek to hire an SVP level experienced business manager to focus on supporting the business growth in US Fixed Income.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Financial planning and business strategy process.
  • Create meaningful analysis to aid management in strategic decisions.
  • Develop and track business unit key performance indicators.
  • Partner with Business Heads to develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success in the face of shifting demands.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Jefferies including IT, Trading, Operations, Finance, Treasury, and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
  • A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics.
  • Manage a small team, with skills to manage a much larger virtual team.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal and Risk to identify emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Build effective working relationships with business leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Intense focus on achieving both short- and long-term goals.
  • Drive and execute an agenda in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist the management team in managing inventory, liquidity and capital.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience at a financial services firm
  • Strong background in funding and financial analysis important
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong people skills
  • Good executive presence
  • Strong understanding of financials of a business including expenses, liquidity usage and equity capital calculations
  • Good understanding of process flow and technology
  • Strong product knowledge across FI, with particular strength in mortgages a plus
  • Willingness to be hands-on and get into the detail where necessary
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $230,000 - $270,000. The salary offered will take into consideration an individual's experience level and qualifications.
