THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a visionary leader for Data Science at Scholastic. The Director of Data Science has overall responsibility for leading data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence and predictive modeling projects within Scholastic. The Data Science team is tasked with critical projects designed to mitigate risks and/or promote growth for Scholastic. We are looking for an experienced leader with significant Data Science expertise who is motivated to make a significant impact in Scholastic. This role reports to the Vice President of Data and Analytics.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in utilizing data science to drive revenue growth for an organization.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience: 8-10 years of experience in Data Science.
7+ years of experience of people management including leading other people managers.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science. Advanced degree in quantitative discipline preferred.
