We are looking for aLow Voltage Technician IIto join our dynamic team. This position will befull-time and hybrid.
What You'll Do
Perform installation, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance of card access and physical security systems at tolling sites and department office facilities
Maintain Universal Power Supplies (UPS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and other facilities control and monitoring devices
Install, monitor, and maintain Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras and Network Video Recorders (NVRs)
Install and configure tolling equipment, including:
License Plate Reader cameras
Camera Illuminators
Laser vehicle identification systems
RF Transponder communication systems
Sub-Roadway Inductive Loop Vehicle Classification Systems
Power supplies and equipment configuration racks
Cable termination patch panels
Coaxial cables
Build pathways and infrastructure for cable systems, including cable trays, ladder rack J-hooks, conduit mounting and configuration, direct line burials, and other required hardware
Perform troubleshooting of voice and data cabling systems and fiber optic cables
Utilize various hand tools, power tools, power meters, diagnostic equipment, ladders, environmental equipment, and other test equipment
Complete required paperwork and documentation, including equipment installation checklists, service orders, timesheets, site inspections, vehicle inspections, and other logs
Coordinate and provide professional service to staff across multiple departments, including Revenue Collection Services (RCS), Toll Systems Maintenance, Supplemental Lane Analyses and Monitoring (SLAM) Team, SunWatch, and Facilities Maintenance
What You'll Need
Required:
Ability to read and interpret complex schematics, parts/wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
Skilled in the use of volt/amp meters, and basic hand tools
Knowledgeable in computer network principles and computer repair
Skilled in electronic theory and practical applications
Proficient in Fiber Optic systems and the use of Maintenance Management Systems
Skilled in CCTV Systems and UPS maintenance
Knowledge of SCADA Systems and Facilities Maintenance
Familiarity with line burial codes and regulations
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work at a height of thirty (30) feet
Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds
Preferred:
Three (3) years of experience in cabling systems
Training, Certification(s), and License(s):
Must possess and maintain a valid Class E Driver's License
Within one (1) year of hire, the employee must obtain and complete the following:
Aerial Lift Vehicle Operation Certification
Basic Fiber Optic Technician Training
Ten (10) hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Safety Course
Other Requirements
Overnight travel may be required
Candidate is required to be available for On-Call duties after normal working hours
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Work safely at heights up to thirty (30) feet and lift up to fifty (50) pounds
