The Production Planning Coordinator reports directly to the Service Center Manager. The primary responsibility of the position is to track all backlog/work in progress to ensure the correct required number of parts are available and sent on time to the Production Team. Essential Responsibilities:
  • Tracks all orders and works closely with our Procurement team to ensure all parts are available when required for execution to meet customer expectations.
  • Lead coordination, customer interface and direction for both simple and complex orders through their completion along with the other site team Leadership
  • Develops tracking tool for transparency on orders with parts delivery status and projected on-site dates to site team Leadership.
  • Ensure successful handover of all orders from proposal work scope to execution and support phases of the WIP order process.
  • Generate and finalize the rebuild inspection report which includes customer interface, and any additional cost discovered during the inspection process.
  • Quickly organize and utilize all communication tools available to assemble site team and support team for contingent strategies on any incoming parts delays.
  • Lead weekly recurring discussions/meetings for WIP incoming parts status.
  • Verify and validate parts pricing changes from the proposal pricing compared to the pricing as executed. Ensure that any discrepancies are communicated to site Leadership.
Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • High School Degree required, bachelor's degree in applicable field, such as business management, a plus.
  • 5-7 years' experience creating and planning production schedules, preferably power industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, customer interface experience a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Software skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Adept at adjusting to a fast-paced environment with fluctuating deadlines.
  • Strong focus on internal execution and support TEAM relationships
  • Self-starting and ability to work with a high performing team.
