Now Hiring! Quality Control Inspector 1st positions available Monday-Thursday, 4 days, 10 hour shifts Job Summary Perform in process inspection on products at various stages of production, to ensure customer specifications are being met and company quality standards are followed Duties and Essential Job Functions
  • Inspect, test or measure materials or products being produced / finished
  • Ensure adherence to ISO internal procedures
  • Assist in creation of procedures, forms, document, and process maps
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and in process inspections
  • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality
  • Daily walk through throughout shop (Fab, Paint, and Shipping) spot checking work and looking at overall quality.
  • Ensure that all the quality check procedures put in place are followed during every production phase
  • Create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and note the corrective actions that were taken
  • Notify team leads of defects; assist in analyzing, identifying, and correcting the underlying issue
  • Educate production team on quality issues, and work with team leads to improve overall product / process quality
  • Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments
  • Monitor operations to ensure they meet production standards
  • Recommend adjustments to production process
  • Accept or reject finished items
Duties and Essential Job Functions Continued
  • Discuss inspection results with team members responsible for products
  • Ensure part quantities match routing
  • Interact and assist with cross training efforts of employees. Make sure they are trained properly. Spot check work and provide guidance
  • Maintain/Manage calibration system
  • Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed
  • Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills including ability to promptly give and follow directions when working with others
  • Experience using calipers, tape measure, and various shop tools
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at any given time
  • Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office & ERP systems
  • Flexible and dependable. Able to switch areas instantly if needed.
  • Track individual and/or company (KPIs) / metrics. Strive for daily improvements
  • Other duties as assigned
Academic Competencies
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience with on-the-job inspection in metal fabrication industry
