TikTok's Global Brand Studio produces business entertainment that promotes TikTok-first thinking, servicing global business marketing teams and regional business marketing teams through a scalable approach. The studio comprises world-class production experts, designers, and events professionals dedicated to showing our agency partners and clients how best to show up on TikTok. The Global Brand Studio Motion Designer is a key member of the broader design ecosystem. This role involves concepting, storyboarding, animating, and delivering best-in-class video productions and motion graphics. Additionally, the designer will bring to life immersive experiences for some of TikTok's most influential B2B event moments. The Motion Designer will be responsible for ensuring creativity and joy are central to everything we make and put out into the industry ecosystem. They will be able to deliver thoughtful solutions that help brands and agencies understand how TikTok can impact their businesses. Finally, this versatile designer should be capable of prioritizing workload with respect to asset delivery and render times and pushing the envelope creatively. Responsibilities: - Handling motion graphics development for sizzle reels, product demos, motion templates, and more. - Design and produce assets such as videos, GIFs, JSON(it's good to have it), 3D renders, and interactive animations for various platforms, ensuring they are optimized for different formats and devices. - Conceptualize and storyboard motion concepts that effectively communicate messages and enhance user engagement. - Must understand and be able to comply with brand identity & guidelines. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives for social media, web, and events. - Work closely with the design and marketing teams to ensure a consistent visual language and messaging across all platforms. - Take ownership of projects, manage timelines, and meet deadlines while juggling multiple assignments. - Adapt and iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and creative leads, incorporating revisions while maintaining a high-quality standard. - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new techniques, and tools to continuously enhance motion design capabilities and efficiency. - Provide guidance and support to designers or team members who require assistance with motion design tasks. - Maintain organized files, project documentation, and version control to facilitate efficient collaboration and future reference. - Contribute to brainstorming sessions, sharing creative ideas and insights to enhance the visual impact of projects. - Keep a keen eye on detail, ensuring accuracy in typography, timing, and visual elements in all motion graphics. - Understanding of visual design elements, color, typography, and composition, as well as sensitivity to aesthetic and seasonal trends. - Help identify opportunities for process improvement and workflow optimization to streamline the motion design production process. - Lead and oversee complex animation projects from concept to delivery. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications - BA/BS or BFA/MFA degree in motion graphic design, animation, graphic design, or relevant experience. - Minimum 5 years of professional experience producing high-end creative work for the entertainment industry, production companies, and advertising agencies. - Strong design/production portfolio required. - Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator), Cinema 4D, and Figma(plus). - Experience with finishing edited productions (rotoscoping effects, color correction, and other video treatments). - Experience designing style guides and storyboards for motion graphics. Preferred Qualifications - Strong conceptual and storytelling ability. - Experience in project management and developing a realistic workback schedule on motion graphics in conjunction with the larger context of a project. - Excellent collaboration skills, must be able to work with a team. - Must be able to receive and implement feedback and provide feedback to other designers. - Commitment to promoting a professional, creative, friendly, and supportive work environment. - Good communicator and ability to design and articulate your concepts in a clear, concise manner.
