• Specialty: Gastroenterology• Job Type: Locum Tenens• Facility Location: Yakima, WA• Service Setting: Outpatient• Reason For Coverage: Supplemental• Coverage Period: Jan 06, 2025 - Ongoing• Coverage Type: Clinical only• Shift Schedule: TBD• Patient Volume: 14-16• Support Staff: 1 NP/PA, 5 MAs, 7 Office Staff - W/ 1 FT provider, a PA-C & occasional shifts by employed GI.• Duties: - See more complicated liver & GI cases in addition to new referrals. - All standard clinic responsibilities including pathology review, referrals & answering questions the PA might have.• Required Procedures: - Pill Cam (required to interpret studies), peg tube exchange, Hemoccult test & Lidocaine injections. - Upper GI endoscopy: with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), With injection of varices - Sigmoidoscopy: Flexible & Rigid - Colonoscopy: w/ biopsy & w/ excision of polyp• Trauma Level: III• EMR: Epic• Other Info: - If locum would prefer a hybrid schedule to include clinic shifts & procedure shifts (colonoscopy/endoscopy performed under conscious sedation at hospital), this is a possibility. - Not required to supervise APPs.• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes• Temporary Privileges available: Yes• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
