What You Will Do
As an IT Service Technician for Prime Controls, you will support the day-to-day business functions of Prime Controls employees as it pertains to using hardware, software, and systems.
A Typical Day at Prime Controls
- Prepares laptops and cell phones to be issued to Prime Controls employees according to Prime IT standards and processes.
- Responds to, triages, and or resolves requests and incidents within our IT ticketing system.
- Provides training and orientation services to new and existing employees on Prime IT resources including hardware and applications.
- Maintains an orderly work area and assists in maintaining organized common/storage areas.
- Receives and processes incoming shipments addressed to IT.
- Provides outstanding customer service to colleagues in order to help maximize productivity.
- Arrives at work on time with a high level of personal hygiene dressed in business-casual attire.
- Participates in a rotating on-call schedule to provide IT request monitoring and response during limited hours outside of the regular business schedule.
- Limited travel (less than 10%) to provide direct support to branch offices and job sites.
What You Will Bring
The Basic
- High school diploma and/or some college experience
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft productivity suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The Preferred
- Previous IT help desk experience and/or extensive customer service experience.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., computer information systems, cybersecurity)
