Job Summary
The Corporate Quality Assurance Manager for Restaurant Associates is a key leader of our Operations Excellence team and is responsible for success of our food & physical safety programs.
This position requires on-site work daily in NYC and within the tri-state area. Up to 30% travel will be required.
As the QA Manager, you will:
+ Oversee all Food and Workplace Safety Initiatives at the sector level.
+ Coordinate & monitor safety training at the sector level. (Daily, Monthly, & Quarterly, & Annual Compliance Trainings).
+ Schedule and manage location site visits with Compass QA Leadership
+ Oversee, train, and monitor Regional Safety Champion efforts to help drive both workplace and food safety progress
+ Conduct recurring Regional Safety Champion meetings /conference calls
+ Assist VP of Operational Excellence with the SAFER/A Advisory Board Initiatives
+ Oversee the Combined Assessment & Origami Risk Assessment process to ensure all locations are compliant with the latest food and workplace safety standards.
+ Manage Third-Party Assessment Program (Vendors & Internal Self- Assessments)
+ Provide updates to the Division/Regional Level Vice Presidents and District/Regional Level Managers on regional safety performance in the event the Safety/Claims Manager is not available.
+ Organize and conduct lost time incident claim conference calls & near miss conference calls.
+ Assist District Managers in managing/coordinating regional safety activities/initiatives.
+ Ensure safety program compliance in the Division/Region.
Required Competencies:
+ Ability to work independently producing positive results

+ Ability to teach and train various skills and subjects to individuals and small groups pertaining to safety & sanitation
+ Strong commitment to workplace safety
+ Ability to problem solve and give pragmatic solutions
+ Knowledge of local and state Health Code
+ ServSafe certified and possess a valid a NYCDOH Food Protection card
+ CP-FS Certification, strongly preferred
Education and Experience:
+ College degree or equivalent work experience.
+ 5-10 years kitchen experience OR 3-5 years field experience as an inspector.
