About the Role
As a Facilities Technician you will apply knowledge of HVAC systems to perform all regular and non-routine operations and maintenance to our powerhouse operation. This includes documentation and clerical work with Tabware system. You will be performing work of a high level of skill and judgment while unsupervised which will require quick and accurate decision making.
About the Team
The Facilities Team is comprised of technical individuals from various maintenance and engineering disciplines who work collaboratively to support Beech-Nut Nutritions LEED certified production facility. The teams core mission is to maintain the building and grounds and to support the efficient operations of the plant and continuous improvement projects. The team works closely with Operations and Maintenance Teams to increase reliability processes so we can continue doing what we do best making high quality, safe, and nutritious foods for babies and toddlers!
About the Work Environment
This position is located at the Amsterdam, New York LEED certified production facility. Most job functions are performed in a well-lit, environmentally controlled office environment. The candidate will also be required to work in an environment that requires hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection and lab coat. Restrictions include wearing of jewelry, nail polish and acrylic nails. Other personal protection equipment may be required for certain tasks.

What Youll Do
+ Monitor all HVAC operations and record data from meters, gauges, and other instrumentation. Report malfunctions and unusual trends or conditions to supervisor.
+ Adjust apparatus controls, start and stop pumps, adjust valves, and operate electric switches and valve controls as necessary to maintain assigned process operations within prescribed standards.
+ Troubleshoot and maintain systems through BMS and Metasys control systems.
+ Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, air handling equipment & cooling towers on rooftop.
+ Collect water samples for in-house and outside analysis. Prepare samples for shipping to outside laboratories as required. Maintain appropriate records.
+ Perform all routine maintenance on equipment, such as lubrication, oil changes, and belt changes.
+ Perform repair work, such as disassembly, repair, and installation of valves, switches, process instrumentation and motors.
+ Perform plant and landscape maintenance duties including inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of tanks; corrosion control of plant piping and valves; plumbing; and minor electrical repairs.
+ Complete all PM for MAU, Supply Fans, Roof Top Units and Exhaust fans and log in report of finding when each are completed.
+ Follow lockout/tagout procedures at all times.
+ Perform other general building and grounds maintenance tasks as assigned.

What Youll Need
+ 3-5 years of work experience in related field
+ 2-year technical degree in HVAC systems
+ Basic knowledge of powerhouse operations to the existing systems, equipment, and facilities
+ Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic theory and application
+ Ability to read equipment instruction and maintenance manuals, drawings, schematics, and blueprints
+ Ability to operate scissor lifts and knuckle booms
+ Physical stamina and agility sufficient to stand, walk, climb stairs, crawl and bend in confined spaces, and engage in similar physical activities for the duration of the shift
+ Good sensory perception to monitor plant machinery and operations visually, audibly, by smell, and by touch (for temperature and vibration) on an ongoing basis
+ Ability to make legible and orderly entries in logs and work order reports

Pay: The annual base salary range for this in-person role is $62,400 $68,460. This is an hourly non-exempt position.
