Construction Manager - Pharmaceuticals - Ohio - 12-Month Contract This is a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Maryland, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.Responsibilities:
- Designing and managing the overall project safety program.
- Coordinating and integrating safety programs from multiple companies into a single site safety approach.
- Developing a safety mindset for every person working or visiting the project site.
- Conduct risk reduction reviews and programs to increase safety of all persons.
- Manage safety permits for hot work, crane lifts and other dangerous activities.
- Conduct HAZOPS for process and facility systems.
- Track leading and lagging safety metrics.
- Communicate safety related information
- Manage safety and accident events and reporting of same.
- File health safety and environmental reports with governmental and external agencies
- Develop training curriculum for all project participants.
- Develop and implement disaster plans for the site.
- Develop plans for dangerous materials and operation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in fields related to construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Significant experience in managing construction projects, preferably including large-scale projects in the healthcare or biotechnology sector.
- Proven experience in successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion.
- Experience with constructing or managing facilities for biotechnology or pharmaceutical purposes, particularly gene therapy, would be highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
