To learn more about us, visit: www.mathy.com. POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a qualified Systems Administrator to join our IT team! The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the architecture, implementation, and technical configuration of the Enterprise Infrastructure. Performs architecture, installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of our standard hardware/software technology. Includes all aspects of Server System Administration including, but not restricted to, server design/configuration/management/support, VMware, Server Operating Systems, SAN, Active Directory administration, Microsoft Office 365 products, performance monitoring, advanced troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Manage relationships with and serve as a liaison with external technical support and vendors. This is a full-time exempt position. The work schedule includes quarterly on-call responsibilities outside of business hours and weekends as well as travel. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Configure, manage, and deploy Windows Server in a VMware environment.
  • Manage and deploy VMware components.
  • Manage changes to server configurations following IT management and security guidelines.
  • Maintain configuration documentation.
  • Provide support for escalated end user issues and trouble ticket resolution.
  • Evaluate and analyze new technologies and vendor products relating to existing and future business requirements.
  • Implement and support infrastructure solutions in a team environment.
  • Maintain the health of systems by identifying and applying patches and firmware upgrades related to storage, servers, applications, network, virtual environment, and backups systems.
  • Document and implement configuration standards for utilization and manageability of datacenter systems.
  • Ensure stability of all services by monitoring for trends of issues and growth.
  • Interface with other technical staff regarding availability of the infrastructure, health of the hardware, technical considerations for planning and managing hardware replacements.
  • Provide in-depth diagnoses for system software/hardware failures and develops solutions.
  • Identify when platform software and OS upgrades are needed; coordinate upgrades to ensure timely scheduling and completion; ensure that appropriate documentation exists prior to implementation.
  • Monitor end-user feedback to recommend future support and product enhancements.
  • Practical application of scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBscript, vSphere PowerCLI and SQL.

  • Bachelor's degree in ComputerScience or related field
  • 2+ years experience in a ServerAdministrator role
  • 3+ years experience working with:
    • Server Operating Systems,VMware, Veeam Backup software, Anti-virus and related technologies in anenterprise environment
    • Enterprise storage systems inan iSCSI SAN configuration
    • Microsoft Office 365 family ofproducts
  • Excellent verbal, written, andcommunication skills
  • Must have a strongunderstanding of monitoring, capacity management and provisioning relatedto supporting and enhancing large Windows hosted applications andvirtualized infrastructures
