Job Duties:- Verify identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.
- Present medication to resident and observe ingestion or other application or administer medication.
- Take vital signs or observe resident to detect response to specified types of medications and prepare report or notify designated personnel of unexpected reactions.
- Document any reasons prescribed drugs are not administered and report to charge nurse.
- Give direct resident care, such as assisting with bathing, dressing, and assisting in examinations and treatments.
- Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
Education and Experience:- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) training program, with subsequent passing grade on skills testing and manual testing to qualify for certification.
- CPR preferred, not required.
- Certified through State of South Dakota for Nurse Assistant and complete U.A.P. training.
Work Schedule- Evening shifts; 32 hours every 2 weeks
- 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
- Every other weekend and holiday
PayThe hourly range for this position is listed below. The actual hourly rate is dependent upon experience.
